UPDATE - 4/02/2020

The Town of Surfside Beach Municipal Court will reschedule all currently scheduled cases for April, 2020 to a later date.  Written confirmation of the new court date will be mailed to all case parties at the address listed on their ticket.  If your address has changed, please contact the Court.  Bond hearings will be held as normally scheduled. 

Payments (money orders) may be remitted after hours via the payment drop box in front of the Municipal Court. For any other information, please contact the Court at 843-913-6337. 

The Surfside Beach Municipal Court handles misdemeanor criminal and traffic offenses. Bench trials are held on Wednesdays twice a month at 4:30pm. Jury trials are held three times a year; roster meetings are held quarterly. The Court staff consists of an Associate Judge, Valerie Riley, an assistant, and a part-time Municipal Judge, Chris Arakas. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm unless otherwise posted. Forms of payment accepted are cash, money order and certified check – no personal checks are accepted. There is an after hours drop slot located next to the office door for fine payments. If your payment is overdue and you need the DL-53 form to take to the DMV, you will need to come to the office during business hours to pay your fine.
